There are six major requirements to earn a Boy Scouts Entrepreneurship Merit Badge:

1. Define entrepreneurship and the role of the entrepreneur in the U.S. economy.


2. Identify and interview an entrepreneur.


3. Brainstorm business ideas, conduct market research, and select the best business opportunity.


4. Create a business plan.


5. Build a prototype and/or promotional material.


6. Start the business.

• Discussion and guidance with camp leaders during the week


• Taking a field trip to a business or bringing in a guest speaker who is a successful entrepreneur.


• Giving scouts time to fill in the Merit Badge workbook


• Prototyping, being trained in daily responsibilities, working as a member of the “business team”, and learning how to be a successful leader of your group
